Romeo is a Bird, Juliet is a Stone
A series of sculptures and masks inspired from a poem by Federico Garcia Lorca.
Lorca’s poetry was an entry point for the artist to transfer Lorca’s symbolic language into a relational work of form and space. The works examine the concept of personal relationships to the different ways they are interpreted and how they relate themselves to one another.
Copper, glass wool, plaster and bronze
Size of the figures between 80 cm – 2’20m
Solo exhibition, January 2003
